The two luminaire families complement this center Harmonious architectural clarity in tune with nature

The village of Schouweiler in Luxembourg is nestled in an idyllic setting surrounded by nature. The cultural life here is vibrant, which is why the municipality of Dippach, to which the village of Schouweiler belongs, had a cultural centre built: ‘The planning task was to design a house intended for festive, musical and municipal events, as well as a covered public forecourt for outdoor festivities,’ writes the architectural firm WWPLus. The result is a building that appears to be a monolith due to its volumetry and the continuity of the lines between the walls and roof. Its modernity is a clear contrast to the surrounding classical village houses, which is nevertheless balanced out by the beige-coloured shingles on the façade and the use of wood in the interior.

The warm radiance of wood, which extends throughout the entire cultural centre, is complemented by luminaires from the Matric and Midpoint series. Matric, our variable system, sets lighting accents in the tall entrance area. Installed in the roof panels in a staggered pattern, it provides a wide distribution of light with a high level of glare control. In direct contrast to this, our Midpoint luminaire family creates selective highlights in the large event rooms. The LED spotlight system impresses here with its puristic, geometric design, allowing the architecture to speak for itself.
