New life was breathed into the listed historic "Speicherstadt" complex in Münster. The former military area in Münster, is now a great example of conversion and redevelopment. The former "Army Catering Headquarters" from the times of National Socialism is a lively modern office and communication centre. The municipal association Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL) also has its headquarters here. With 35 special schools, 21 hospitals, 18 museums and two visitor centres, the LWL fulfils tasks in disability and youth welfare, psychiatry, the social sector and culture.
In the original silo and storage unit, the rough exterior is combined with demands for progressive working space and forms friendly office and archive areas.
