When Microsoft moved into the new building in the Rheinauhafen in Cologne, Germany in 2008, the company was among the pioneers of the new district. More then ten years later, the location has become established, but the working world has changed considerably. Monika Lepel, LEPEL & LEPEL, Cologne was commissioned by Microsoft as interior designer to completely redesign the Cologne location and make it even more attractive for employees.
In the numerous conference rooms, lighting solutions have been developed that respond to the design of the furniture and acoustic elements. Among others, the round pendant luminaires in the form of flat cylinders from Lightnet's Basic family provide direct light on the round table. Together with the acoustic panels painted in a light brown tone, the square, very flat Cubic P6 luminaires by Lightnet create a moving and harmonious overall impression of a group workstation.
