The social cultural centre De Bernardus in Made, Netherlands, represents a successful symbiosis between historical architecture and modern lighting technology. Our Ringo Star LED luminaires have been carefully integrated into the architectural concept and emphasise the imposing structure of the former Bernardus church. Thanks to their precise light control and formal clarity, our Ringo Star luminaires are ideal for stylishly accentuating rooms with historical significance. The Bernardus church was restored and converted to create space for clubs, an advice centre, a day care centre, a library and a theatre hall. The Bernardus is therefore an important place for socio-cultural life in Made. Everyone can develop, relax and socialise there.
The Ringo Star luminaires were chosen to emphasise the architectural features of the Gothic arches and high ceilings. Their ring-shaped structure not only blends harmoniously into the surroundings, but also provides uniform, glare-free lighting that optimally illuminates the room without detracting from the historical ambience. The use of Ringo Star LED luminaires visually accentuates the ceiling height, while the diffuse circles of light form a gentle contrast to the tapered arches of the church. This creates a calming atmosphere that contributes to the versatile use of the space - be it for cultural events, educational purposes or social gatherings.
The De Bernardus Cultural Centre now stands as a symbol of the successful combination of past and present. Our Ringo Star luminaires play a key role in transforming this place into a vibrant centre for the community.
