Roar's design concept for White & Case's new Dubai office cleverly harmonises the law firm's long-standing history with local influences, embedding it in the Emirati context while preserving the firm's global values. The office is located in the prestigious ICD Brookfield Place and offers breathtaking views of two of the city's most famous landmarks: the Museum of the Future and the Burj Khalifa.
To give the office a sense of openness and freedom of movement, Roar has centralised the offices of all senior partners in the centre of the floor, while the periphery is used for an undivided workspace and team rooms. Privacy is an essential element in a law firm, which Roar had to take into account. To this end, 'protected' spaces were created in the open-plan area, surrounded by small acoustic barriers to provide a real sense of confidentiality.
In one of these workspaces, our Beam me up luminaires provide optimum light, while our Liquid Line emphasises the minimalist design of the meeting rooms and the lounge area.
